Problem: Redesign two book covers that match in style for a selected author’s titles. Create a style that can be reinforced on keepsakes for the author's fans.
Solution: I redesigned James Baldwin’s “Go Tell It on the Mountain” and “Notes of a Native Son.” I’ve used a simple style, and illustrations convey the deeper layers of each story. I’ve also created bookmarks and an author poster that matches the style of the book covers. The stained glass look is a tribute to James Baldwin’s connections to his church. The stained glass and serif font create a timeless feel just like James Baldwin's writings.
